Construction Skills Certification Scheme

Technical, Associate and full Members and Fellows of ICES can apply for either the Construction
Contracting General or Spatial Data Managers CSCS card after they have completed the managerial level Health & Safety Test.

To apply for your CSCS card, a service called Skills Direct is a simpler, faster way of getting your CSCS card. The cost is £42.50 payable by credit/debit card only (Skills Direct do not accept Maestro or
American Express). The fee includes the cost of a Health & Safety Test and the CSCS card application. When you contact CSCS, they can put you through to the Skills Direct team who will be able to make a Health & Safety Test booking, advising you of the nearest centre, test date and time. At the Health &
Safety Test Centre the application form for the card will then be completed and photos taken as part of the process. The Health & Safety Test Centre will then send the application form to CSCS for processing and

If you do not have a credit/debit card you can contact +44 (0) 870 600 4020 or visit www.healthandsafetytest.co.uk to arrange a health & safety test, this will cost £17.50 per test. Once you have passed the test, you can then apply for the relevant CSCS card, this will cost £25.00, you can obtain the www.cscs.uk.com.
