Examiner training for new examiners
We are holding two examiner training sessions – this session is solely is for Members and Fellows wishing to become examiners. A separate refresher session for current examiners will take place on Wednesday 14 September. Please note that those wishing to become examiners are required to attend both sessions to achieve maximum benefit from the training.
The sessions are structured in such a way that those new to examining will need to attend both sessions to become fully-trained examiners, and existing examiners will just attend the second session (on Wednesday 14 September) as a refresher.
The sessions will cover review interviews, but also touch on mentoring and professional registration.
This is a great way to get involved with your institution and to support members in progressing their careers and membership grades. All examiners are required to re-train every 3 to 5 years and are asked to commit to at least 2 review interview days per year.
Only CICES Members and Fellows wishing to become examiners can join this session.
If you would like further information about what is involved in being a review examiner please contact Serena Egerton.
Speaker(s): Chief Examiner, Deputy Chief Examiners, Chair of Education, Professional Develoment and Membership Committee and Chief Moderators
