Introducing the NEC4 Alliance Contract
Introducing the NEC4 Alliance Contract presented by Ian Heaphy, NEC4 Contract Board Member.
The Yorkshire committee invite you to this interesting CPD event for members and non-members which includes introducing the NEC4 Alliance Contract presented by Ian Heaphy, NEC4 Contract Board Member.
The NEC4 Alliance Contract (ALC) was released in June 2018 and represents the next step in collaborative contracting. The ALC is a radical departure from the standard bi-party NEC contracts and allows the client and all key members of the supply chain to be engaged under a single set of conditions of contract. All members of the alliance have an equal voice and share in the performance of the alliance as a whole as opposed to their own individual performance. In this session Ian Heaphy one of the lead authors of the ALC will introduce the concept and content of the contract.
Ian has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, including aviation, oil & gas, rail, water, highways and building. He has worked with clients in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Far East and North America including government bodies, private sector employers and contractors. Ian specialises in the development of innovative procurement strategies with particular expertise around partnering, alliancing and target cost contracts.
Ian is a member of the NEC4 Contract Board has been directly involved in drafting and shaping the fourth generation of NEC contracts and specifically the new Alliance Contract.
Ian regularly facilitates workshops and delivers training in contract forms and procurement & contract strategies. He also frequently speaks at industry events and has had numerous articles published in construction journals.
