North West & North Wales AGM 2019
The ICES North West and North Wales Regional Committee warmly welcome you to their Annual General Meeting. Non-members and prospective members are also most welcome to attend.
This is your opportunity to influence the work of the region and institution, give the committee your feedback and elect the new committee members for the coming year. The format includes the Chairman’s Report, Secretary’s Report and the election of the Regional Committee.
Join the committee – any ICES member from Student through to Fellow can join the regional committee. If this is of interest to you, please complete a nomination form.
The AGM is intended to be a sociable evening which provides an opportunity to discuss how the institution and the region can continue to grow and to hear members views. Increase your CPD – attendance at the AGM counts towards your CPD.
Immediately preceding the AGM, there will be a presentation by Chris Preston of Network Rail, entitled ‘Railway surveying – where to now?’ This will cover the following topics:
*Rail Industry structure and Network Rail’s role in UK Railways
* NR’s Transformation
* Future of rail investment
* NR issues and problems
* Aerial survey and drones
* The future of geospatial
The AGM is intended to be a sociable occasion which provides an opportunity to discuss how the institution and, in particular, the region can continue to grow and to hear members views.
Timings as follows:
6pm: Registration and refreshments
6.30pm: CPD presentation
