MOU

CICES has strengthened its industry ties in Hong Kong with two memoranda of understanding (MOU) signings and a visit to the region from senior CICES leaders.

On 31 March, an MOU was signed with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Geotechnical Division, represented by Chairman Ir Terence Yau Lap Yan and Deputy Chairman Ir Victon Wong Wing Lung.

A few weeks later on 24 April, Senior Vice President Marek Suchocki renewed CICES's longstanding partnership with the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS), extending the agreement through to 2031 — signing alongside HKIS President Tony Wan.

Collaboration and CICES Hong Kong visit

The MOU's represent a key milestone in CICES' continued growth across the Hong Kong region and coincided with a visit by CEO Simon Hamlyn and Senior Vice President Marek Suchocki last week.

During their time in the region, Simon and Marek held a series of meetings, including with the CIC Centre for Future of Construction, the University of Macau, and RICS Hong Kong region, the latter building on the new partnership between CICES and RICS that saw the launch of a new joint designation earlier this year: Chartered Civil Engineering Surveyor.

The Hong Kong visit concluded with an annual awards ceremony and dinner (pictured), recognising the achievements of CICES members in Hong Kong.
