ABA surveying is a leading independent company of chartered land surveyors serving the UK and Ireland. Our core business is land and engineering surveying for civil engineering, structural, architectural and asset management purposes. Our goal is bringing our clients the benefit of our new technology whereby we can offer the most appropriate solution to their data requirements. Highly automated, the company operates digital levels, robotic total stations, RTK geodetic GPS receivers and five Leica 3D scanners for non-contact survey and modelling. We have been leading exponents in the development of 3D scanning techniques for surveying purposes since 2001. Building on our reputation for kinematic scanning in the railway environment the company has developed and carries out mobile scanning for highway surveying purposes for more than five years achieving accuracies measured in millimetres. The company has developed sophisticated 3D surveying and CAD modelling techniques compliant with the emerging BIM requirements. We provide surveying solutions satisfying topographical and structure surveys, asset management, deformation measurement, dimensional control and spatial engineering requirements to accuracies of better than 5mm.Much of our work is in the railway environment where we can survey track, structures, stations, platforms and OLE to 5mm accuracies – all from a place of safety. Started in 1990, the practice has continued to grow through its success and now has a turnover approaching £2m per year. All work is carried out under a quality system accredited to ISI 9001:2008 standards. The company is RISQS Audited and has a Railway Contractors Certificate for its work on Network Rail Infrastructure. It carries professional indemnity insurance for £5m. Accreditations: RICS, CICES, RISQS, Construction Line, SGS and QMS.
